1863 German Violin made in Mittenwald

This Vintage German Violin weighs 16.5 ounces, the finest grain Spruce top (43 grains to the inch-no Medium grains anywhere) and a Flamed Maple Two Piece back. The flame on the neck matches that on the sides as well. It has the original Ebony pegs and Tailpiece and a New Fingerboard. It has a well executed scroll. The 4 corner blocks have the same fine grains as the soundboard. This is signed and dated 1863-the signature is difficult to read without removing the soundboard, though the date is easy to read.

It has New Obligato Strings mounted on it, as wells as a New Deluxe Aubert Bridge mounted on it.

My Classical, Flamenco Guitar and Violin Shop is located at 1645 S. Bascom Ave. Suite 1-B in the Bel Gato Center across the street from the Whole Foods Supermarket in Campbell.
It's just two lights off Hwy 17 at Hamilton Ave. exit. Exit the freeway and drive east to Bascom Ave. Turn right, and 100 feet later the third driveway is where you enter.
