1920’s Andreas Morelli 16” Viola

Great sounding instrument used in the Pasadena Coleman Chamber Music Orchestra in 1953. It has 1,000s of hours of tonal development and volume. As for the resonance it's as if you were 20 feet down into a cave.

As it says on the label, it is a reproduction of a Antonio Stradivari viola, and above that handwritten is "Professional Model".

This marvelous Viola is from the collection of the 1920 Edison Record label Recording Artist Vera Barstow (1895-19--).

Beautiful Spruce Soundboard and One Piece Highly Flamed Maple Back and Sides. It is fully blocked and lined.

No cracks, the pegs were rebushed in the 1940's-so they work excellently. It has a New set of Obligato Strings mounted on it. Original Ebony Pegs, Fingerboard, Nut and Tailpiece.

It comes with a $350 bow. It is housed in a New Deluxe Case.

Come by to try it out, and enjoy its resonance and beauty.
